Why we built this

horrorgames.in started as an argument on a train from Pune to Mumbai: why does playing a horror game with a friend require forty gigabytes of download and a GPU you don't have? We wanted the ten-minute version — open a tab, get scared, close the tab, go to sleep with the lights on. That version didn't really exist, so we built it.

Nightfall House is the result: one house, one hunter, three keys, and nothing to install. It runs in any modern browser on any laptop we could borrow, because that's who we built it for — people who want a sharp, short scare without the hardware tax.

Original, not a clone

The web is full of knockoffs wearing borrowed names. We went the other direction. The Keeper, the house, the key rule, every sound file (all generated procedurally by our own scripts), every line of lore — all of it is made from scratch for this game. Genre inspiration is honest and everywhere; character and asset borrowing is not something you'll find here. When you escape Nightfall House, you escaped something nobody else has played.

The team

Two of us: one writes the code and the AI that hunts you, one designs the rooms and writes the words that make them feel occupied. We ship updates when they make the house better, not on a schedule.
